The PET-MR Fusion Scan is a two-in-one test that combines images from a positron emission tomography (PET) scan and a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan. This innovative hybrid technology combines the strengths of PET and MRI to generate highly detailed pictures of the inside of your body, offering doctors valuable information for diagnosing medical conditions and planning treatment. For instance, doctors utilize PET/MRI scans of the brain to aid in the management of Alzheimer’s disease, epilepsy, and brain tumors.

Test Preparation :Fasting for 4-6 hours is necessary, with a preference for overnight fasting. Only plain water is allowed during the fasting period. Diabetic patients should have a light breakfast at 6 am on the test day and must take their prescribed medication. It is crucial to not miss taking the diabetic medication in the morning of the test date. Please inform us about your diabetic history so that we can plan accordingly for your test. Kindly bring along any old reports or CDs from previous visits to the center. Female patients in the reproductive age group need to provide information about their Last Menstrual Period (LMP). Otherwise, a Urine Pregnancy Test is required.
