DOTA PET-CT Scan

DOTA-NOC PET-CT scan is an imaging technique that is helpful in evaluating neuroendocrine tumors. In this scan, a radiotracer 68Ga-DOTA-NOC is injected that binds to somatostatin receptors, which are found on the surface of neuroendocrine tumors (NET). Following the injection, the patients undergo a PET scan. The results show NETs anywhere in the body.(DOTA PET-CT Scan)


Test Preparation :Male: Urea and Creatinine blood test reports required. 4-6 hours fasting. For CT Contrast Studies of Diabetic patients on met form in medicine: Please do not take met form in 48hrs before and after contrast study. Please speak with your treating physician for any alternative medication and treatment.

Female: Urea and Creatinine blood test reports required. 4-6 hours fasting. For Female patients in the reproductive age group must provide their last menstrual period (LMP). Alternatively, a urine pregnancy test is necessary. For CT Contrast Studies of Diabetic patients on met form in medicine: Please do not take met form in 48hrs before and after contrast study. Please speak with your treating physician for any alternative medication and treatment.
