MRI-Arthrography of the shoulder combines magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) with the injection of a contrast dye into the shoulder joint to provide detailed images of the shoulder structures, including the joint capsule, ligaments, tendons, and cartilage. The procedure includes positioning you on the MRI table, inserting a small needle into the shoulder joint to inject the contrast dye, and moving you into the MRI scanner. The scanner utilizes powerful magnets and radio waves to create high-resolution images. These images can aid in diagnosing conditions such as rotator cuff tears, labral tears, and joint abnormalities.

Test Preparation : Male : No Special Preparation. Informed Consent Required.
Female : For Female patients in the reproductive age group must provide their last menstrual period (LMP). Alternatively, a urine pregnancy test is necessary.
